4 Reasons to Use Influencer Marketing for Holiday Campaigns

We hope you’ve had a chance to create some fantastic influencer campaigns for this holiday season. In honor of Christmas coming up in just a few days, we’ve put together a few reasons why influencer marketing is a great choice this time of year. If you haven’t put together a campaign yet, there’s still time for a fun New Year’s campaign. Otherwise, keep these ideas in mind to make your next holiday season a success.

The best way to spread Christmas cheer is tweeting loud for all to hear.

Okay, so that’s not really how the quote from Elf goes. The idea still stands that it’s a time of year where we’re all looking for someone to spread cheer. Allow influencers to create some warm vibes surrounding your brand by sponsoring holiday-related content.

#ad You might say I’m #nutsabouttheholidays and I LOVE to throw a good party. No holiday party is complete without a beautiful charcuterie spread, and mine are never complete without my fav crackers, Blue Diamond® Almond Nut-Thins®. I grabbed these on a grocery run at my local Walmart in the salty snacks + crackers aisle, and discovered these ah-mazing Blue Diamond® Gourmet Pink Himalayan Salt Almonds, and knew they’d be the perfect addition to my cheese and meat board. Let’s just say, the combo was a hit! Get these yummy goodies for your next holiday shin-dig at Walmart! @bluediamond

It’s the best time to give back

The holiday season is a great time to give back to your customers, the community, and more. Sponsoring a giveaway helps build excitement around your products. Choose a holiday-themed favorite (or two) to give away, and make sure to share a link for the audience to purchase your product if they just can’t wait.

You can also ask influencers to promote a campaign based on any donations you may be giving to the community. Whether it’s a donation to Toys for Tots, St. Jude’s or something else, an influencer can help share the good things you’re doing — and inspire others to give back as well.

Take a break, and let influencers do the work

Scheduling holiday campaigns in advance will give you some time to relax during the holidays. Let the influencers create the content and post it, and come back to tracking and reporting after the break.

Use hashtags and SEO keywords to your advantage

It’s no secret people are a lot more likely to be searching up Christmas-related hashtags or SEO keywords during the holidays. Use this to your advantage by making sure influencers use these hashtags and keywords in your content during the holiday season. Don’t assume they’ll do this already — communication is important.

If you have data from past campaigns, provide the influencers with this helpful information. Let them know which hashtags and keywords you want them to include in their posts.

Happy Holidays from Fresh Press Media!

We hope you enjoy these tips and put them to use in your upcoming influencer campaigns. Wishing you a successful holiday season and a New Year in 2019.
