We may earn money or products from the companies mentioned in this post. Our opinions are our own.

We just returned from the Type A NYC Bootcamp and I am feeling excited about all the connections, lessons, and feedback we received from a roomful of dynamic influencers. The conference focused on Brand / Blogger relations and making the most of those connections in our communities.

Own Your Space

Well-known community builder, Victoria Taylor, was the keynote speaker for the day. She encouraged us to find something to learn from everyone we meet and to treat their story with great interest and importance. She impressed upon us that loyalty begins with a caring and trustworthy relationship. This idea followed us the rest of the day as we heard them encourage us to look for ways to foster relationships throughout our business interactions. For bloggers, the message was clear: when partnering with brands, be true to your voice and own your space.

Type A ParentSomething powerful happens when you sit in a room full of other bloggers to listen, ask questions, and bounce ideas off one another. The feedback we receive from our computer screens, or even Google Analytics, can’t compare to the massive support system and much needed camaraderie that attending a blogging conference offers. If you have not been able to attend one of these conferences, I highly encourage you to do so. Thank you to Kelby and TypeANYC and to all the bloggers who took the time to meet and share with us. We truly hope to be a valuable part of your business and look forward to working with all of you.
