Last week, we shared 5 ways to incentivize influencers to drive affiliate sales. These tips are a great place to start, but there’s still more you can do. We went over communicating, competitive commissions, sharing discounts, educating, and boosting their content. If you’ve tried all those methods and are still looking for more ways to boost influencer sales, check out Part 2 below.
Host a giveaway
Got a new product you’d like to feature? Draw attention to your brand by asking an influencer to host a giveaway of one of your products. For entry, influencers may require following your social media page, registering for a newsletter, or another quantifiable action.
Instagram is a great platform to use for giveaways. Choose a timeline and a product, and have the influencer share an eye-catching display of the product. As the deadline approaches, the influencer will remind their followers about the giveaway. They’ll also encourage their audience to engage with the posts and your brand.
Once your giveaway is complete, you will have more insight into the types of people interested in your product. Keep track of this information for your next campaign, because this is your target audience.
Get your product into their hands
Getting your product into the hands of influencers will result in the most genuine product reviews. It’s easier to promote a product you can photograph, unbox and talk about in a video. Have you ever seen a video review of a product the influencer didn’t have around to demonstrate? If so, chances are it was far less convincing than if the influencer owned and used your product.
Using the product itself inspires exciting, hands-on content. This content will be better than merely linking to a website, or writing a wiki on general product information. Not only that, but the influencer can find new ways to use your product if they have it in their house. If you gift a pair of sunglasses, they can share multiple photos and tag your brand in the posts. This gift increases exposure, which will help drive sales in the future. It also shows the audience that real people use your products, unlike most other paid models.
Sponsor a gift guide
With Q4 coming up in a few weeks, it’s a great time to start planning your gift guide campaigns. Gift guides are a fantastic way to leverage your product and increase conversions. Ask the influencers to create a gift guide featuring a few of your top sellers. Holiday gift guides work exceptionally well when combined with a limited-time promotion, bundle or discount.
Speaking of holidays, it’s not too early to start planning your Black Friday gift guide campaign. Black Friday is the next big shopping season, and it’s only a couple months away. What deals or discounts will your brand be promoting? Start planning your Black Friday gift guide today, to get the right influencers hired for the season.
Find a blogger dedicated to your brand
Once you partner with an influencer who’s an excellent fit for your brand, keep working with them. Finding a blogger dedicated to your brand is vital for converting sales. Rather than a single review (on a blog with hundreds of other product reviews,) find a brand ambassador. Multiple posts have a more lasting effect than a single review.
